Seth Chandler
Witter Coin
Chief Numismatist
Seth Chandler is the owner and Chief Numismatist of Witter Coins. He started collecting coins when he was four by placing Wheat Cents in blue Whitman coin folders given to him by his parents. Things started getting serious when Seth was ten. Money earned from mowing lawns was used to buy coins at his local coin store, Edgewood Coin Shop. Seth spent so much time at Edgewood; they offered him a job, working there from the age of 14 to 18.
Seth has been an avid coin collector for over 40 years and his collecting interests includes early United States gold coins and all coinage minted at the three San Francisco Mints. When not playing with coins, Seth spends time with his three young children and lovely wife, Jen.

Jim Stoutjesdyk
Heritage Auctions
Vice President of Numismatics
Jim Stoutjesdyk was named Vice President of Heritage Rare Coin Galleries in 2004. A native of Michigan, Jim has been actively involved in numismatics since a young age and the American Numismatic Association named him their Outstanding Young Numismatist of the Year in 1987. After graduating from the University of Michigan he was employed by Superior Galleries in Beverly Hills, California where he eventually became their Director of Collector Sales.
Since coming to Heritage in 1993, Jim has assumed a wide variety of responsibilities. He initially was hired as the Gallery Manager for Heritage's retail showroom. For several years he helped to develop Heritage's retail clientele and placed millions of dollars worth of rare coins with collectors. Jim's talent for writing and passion for numismatics led him to become the editor of Heritage's Insider magazine. From 1998 to early 2000 this bi-monthly publication brought collectors the latest offerings from Heritage's inventory and featured a wide variety of informative articles. With the rapid development of Heritage's web site and instant access to our inventory, the Insider magazine was phased out. Jim's interest turned to wholesale trading and he quickly became a familiar face at coin shows across the nation. As Vice President, Jim's duties include buying and selling millions of dollars worth of rare coins each month, pricing all of the new coins available for sale each day, and overseeing the daily operations of the rare coin department. In 2019 the American Numismatic Association awarded Jim the very prestigious Doctor of Numismatics honorary degree.

After several years in industry, Kevin began regularly teaching Grading 1 & 2 at the ANA Summer Seminar to share his knowledge and inspire others. Steve Feltner
PCGS Grading Team Leader & Director of Numismatic Education

In his role as Grading Team Leader & Director of Numismatic Education and Outreach at PCGS, Steve Feltner hopes to inspire collectors young and old. He began collecting at the age of 8 and was immediately hooked on the history and number of amazing designs. At the age of 13 he became heavily involved with the American Numismatic Association and began attending their Summer Seminars. It was the ANA and their programs that were the catalyst to his future career paths. He has been to Summer Seminar nearly 20 years and has been an instructor for their intermediate grading course 8 consecutive years.
At the age of 25, he was asked to test grade at PCGS for an opening in the vintage room and accepted a full-time position. “I was a vintage grader for a bit over 3 years and learned a great deal sitting next to some of the sharpest graders and numismatic minds of our generation,” Feltner recounted. He later moved to Sacramento and helped found a successful coin company which he built over four years. “I could not be more excited about this role with PCGS as I feel it is a perfect fit for my desire to educate, while continuing to learn from those around me. My goal is to be an open and available resource to share the love of this amazing hobby. I believe that the future of numismatics is bright, so long as we all work together to make positive adaptations to an ever-changing market,” said Feltner.
